KealohaNulus is building two things simultaneously: a hand-crafted fictional universe of 1,000+ characters, and the proprietary AI engine — ENGMA — that brings them to life autonomously.
Project Americana is the first deployment. Nine personas, live now. Producing real podcasts, albums, startups, and campaigns — with zero ongoing human authorship per post.
The team you're joining will take this from nine personas to one hundred. The engine from v0 to v1. The audience from thousands to millions.
Every role below is funded through the seed raise. Click any role to expand the full brief.
You run the machine so the founders can build the world. As COO you own operations, finance, business development, and the licensing pipeline — everything that isn't engineering or creative output.
This company is lean by design. You'll be the person who makes lean feel intentional, not strained.
You'll close partnerships, manage the raise process alongside the CEO, and build the operational infrastructure that scales to 100 personas and beyond.
You've run ops at a startup before. You understand both media and tech. You're comfortable with ambiguity and energized by a world-building project that doesn't fit a standard category.
You'll build the infrastructure that runs autonomous characters at scale. ENGMA is the heart of Nulus — a multi-layer AI runtime handling fine-tuned character models, episodic memory, multi-modal generation, and inter-agent dynamics.
You'll work directly with the CTO on the ENGMA v1 build: character cores, the RAG memory pipeline, multi-modal output, and the orchestration layer.
Stack: Python, vLLM, Pinecone, Neo4j, Redis, SDXL, Kubernetes. You're excited about agentic systems and character architecture.
You'll own the consumer-facing layer — ORB, the membership platform, and the web properties that are the public face of Project Americana.
This role bridges the ENGMA engine and the audience. You make sure what the characters produce reaches people elegantly.
Stack: React / Next.js, Node.js, Stripe, Supabase. You care about the product experience and have a feel for editorial design.
You write the world. Not marketing copy, not AI prompts — actual fiction. Short stories, dispatches, encounter fragments, and the deep lore that makes nine personas feel like real people with real histories.
As the world scales toward 100, you keep every new addition as fully realized as the first nine.
You have a published body of work — fiction, journalism, screenwriting, or criticism. You can write in nine different voices without losing your own.
You own the visual identity of a world. Every character has a look, a color, a visual grammar that makes them instantly recognizable. As the cast grows toward 100, you're the keeper of that consistency.
This role sits at the intersection of editorial design, character art, and AI image systems.
Figma fluency required. Experience with SDXL / Midjourney / LoRA workflows a major plus. You understand that a character's color is a worldview.
This isn't a startup with a deck and a dream. Project Americana is live. The personas are producing. You'd be joining something already in motion.
Send a short note — who you are, which role, and why this world. Attach whatever is most relevant: a portfolio, a writing sample, a GitHub, a deck.
No cover letter required. No formal process yet. Just reach out directly. We read everything.
